Start with suggestions, not the whole folder.
You can clean up Downloads yourself in Finder. Trayage brings specific files to your attention and explains why they appeared. You check the suggestions, leave anything you’re unsure about, and select what you no longer need.
What changes in your review?
With Finder
Browse your downloads, sort by details such as size or date, and open files to check them. You decide which files to investigate and what to remove.
With Trayage
Start with flagged installers, likely duplicates, and large or older files. Read the reason for a suggestion, inspect its details, or reveal it in Finder. Select unwanted files and confirm before they move to Trash.

You check whether you need both.
Matching names and sizes do not prove identical contents. Reveal the files in Finder and open them to check. If one is an unwanted copy, select it in Trayage and confirm the move to Trash.

Trayage reviews the files directly inside your chosen folder. It does not compare file contents to verify duplicates, and age or size alone does not mean a file is unwanted. File analysis stays on your Mac. Nothing moves to Trash without your confirmation, and Trayage never empties it.
